New Home Under Construction

As part of our planned development, we are in the middle of renovating a house we purchased 17 months ago in Nassau County. We are at the mid-point mark and we thought to provide you with a quick update on the renovations. The renovations are going well (after a momentary delay caused by the weather and unexpected site conditions) and all plumbing, electrical and framing have been completed.  On April 7, 2026 Mr. Gael Monteil, IRI board president and Ana Koessler IRI Chief Administrative Officer took Mrs. Joan Frietsch, IRI board member for a first tour of the home. Approximately one year ago, the IRIboard made the decision to name the home, the Friestch Residence in Mrs. Friestch’ honor.  This is a well deserved acknowledgement given her over 50 years of dedicated advocacy on behalf of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  We cannot wait for the grand opening scheduled for early August and want to take the time thank Barbara, Herbert and Steven for sharing their mother with us.  See you in August at the grand opening.
