A Gentleman and an Artist Retires at IRI

On May 14, 2026 the maintenance, transportation, administrative, senior and executive staff hosted a retirement lunch at the agency’s headquarters in honor of Mr. Susumu.  His contribution to the quality of our homes and day program was unparalleled as the quality of the painting was professional and meticulous. For 23 years, Mr. Susumu toiled quietly with skills and heart of gold.  Ana Koessler, IRI Chief Administrative Officer presented him with a plaque and parting gift and provided (through a short speech) the attendees with a window into Mr. Susumu, the person. Her words were echoed by others to include Lina Saray, Chief Financial and Human Resources Officer and Kaiia Watts, Executive Assistant.  Finally, Mr. Susumu will be missed but will always be welcomed at IRI.
