2024 Summer Bash

On September 10, 2024, IRI celebrated its Direct Care Professionals by hosting a Summer Bash in their honor. This well-attended party featured 10 DSPs who received the IRI Excellence Award. These terrific staff members are recognized for their dedication, ability to consistently go beyond the call of duty, and ability to put the individuals first and above all else.  We also recognized Mr. Reginald St. Fort, who received the 2024 Community Award for his work supporting people of color and people from the Queens Village Community. Mr. St. Fort has been an incredible source of staff referrals to IRI. The party included a dance competition and a Karaoke competition, which were the highlights of the evening; IRI has some fantastic dancers and singers. A solo saxophonist provided incredible soothing sounds. Members of the IRI Board of Directors, including Mr. Gael Monteil, Board President; Ms. Deoki Pestano; and Dr. Scott Springer, were in attendance. Mr. Monteil thanked the staff for their excellent work and wished them well. Dr. Louis, CEO, spoke of the IRI family and its resilience. As Dr. Louis said, there is no question that, as a family, he has complete confidence that IRI will get through this tumultuous period because of the dedicated men and women who deliver quality care at a great sacrifice to themselves and their families.
