Elizabeth Corrigan, Ph.D
Chief Service Officer & Chief Psychologist
Dr. Elizabeth Corrigan joined Innovative Resources for Independence (IRI) in September 2018 as Chief Operating Officer. Now serving as Chief Service Officer and Chief Psychologist, she brings extensive experience in executive leadership, organizational development, and clinical practice supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Throughout her tenure, she has strengthened operational systems, administrative practices, and management training to support service quality and organizational sustainability.
In her agency-wide role, Dr. Corrigan leads strategic initiatives and risk mitigation efforts that strengthen IRI’s services and organizational effectiveness. Her portfolio includes program development, strategic partnerships, grant development, and behavioral services, with a focus on expanding opportunities for people with IDD.
Before joining IRI, Dr. Corrigan served for 25 years as Director of Adult Day Services at the Institutes of Applied Human Dynamics, Inc. (IAHD) and also served as Research Director at Meaningful NY. She is an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University, where she teaches graduate courses in Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents, Clinical Practicum, Counseling Theory, and Assessment.
Dr. Corrigan earned a Bachelor of Arts and Higher Diploma in Education from University College Cork, Ireland; a Master of Science in Education in Counseling and Personnel Services from Fordham University; and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New York University. She completed her internship at the New York State Institute for Basic Research in Developmental Disabilities. A New York State licensed psychologist, she combines clinical expertise with systems leadership to advance person-centered services and meaningful opportunities for people with IDD.
