Del Vino Vineyard Community Engagement Event

On August 19, 2023, we were very lucky to enjoy a glorious afternoon at the beautiful Del Vino Vineyard in NorthPort Long Island. 

This was an intimate and private event of 30 people attended mainly by board members, executive staff, senior staff and a few IRI friends and family members.  This kind of “community engagement” event fosters a sense of belonging and connection to and with IRI.  We, as a community, come to the “party” from different perspectives; but yet have a particular stake in the mission of the organization and are linked through IRI’s mission and its goals.  Over time, we intend to grow the IRI community as the need for effective advocacy and community education remains pressing and important. The gains of the past 50 years, can and will evaporate unless we remain hyper-focused in working with our government partners to appropriately fund our service delivery system. These events provide us with the opportunity to get on the same page. Finally, as always the venue selection was terrific, the food very good, the music cool,  the wine exquisite, and the party favors a nice touch.
